mkgorm@mail.utexas.edu Expectations: Lab sections will provide a focused look at key concepts covered in lecture. You are expected to attend all lab sections, be an active participant in lab activities, and complete all assignments. See the course website (www.geo.utexas.edu/courses/302c/) and print out and study all lab handouts before you arrive in your lab section. Bring all lab handouts printed from this website, homework from the previous lab to be turned in, a calculator, and book to the lab section unless otherwise specified. Your TA will NOT bring printed labs to section. If you must miss your lab section, it is your responsibility to (1) contact your TA well in advance of your absence and (2) attend a different lab section. Grading: Homework - 100% Lab homework: Each lab contains follow-up questions to be done as homework. Lab homework must be turned in to your TA in the lab section in which you are registered. Lab homework is due at the start of the section in which you are registered. Lab homework turned in after lab activities begin is late and will receive zero credit. . The number of points assigned to each lab question will be listed beside each question. Points may be assigned both to the “right” answer and to the explanation of how you arrived at the answer. Graded labs will be handed back two weeks after they are turned in. If you attend a different section, you lab homework is still due to your TA in your section.
