Why do the Edwards limestones make such a good aquifer?

When were the sediments that form the Edwards Limestone deposited. What was the depositional environment?

What is the Balcones escarpment? Does the Balcones Fault Zone effect groundwater flow?

Is all of the water within the aquifer available for consumption? What is sustained overdraft?

• Select a gage from the Barton Creek Watershed

1. What is the maximum daily or peak discharge for that station?
