"These courses will be designed to expose students to issues that transcend individual disciplines, such as the divide between the humanities and the natural sciences. They will require students to communicate effectively, both in writing and in speech, as well as to use evidence to corroborate or refute a theory in various disciplines. Signature courses will be team taught by the University's finest teachers. At least one freshman signature course will be offered this fall to test the concept."
