Field Trip 2: Cretaceous Carbonate Correlation, Austin

I. OBJECTIVES:

• Measure, in detail, sections of the Bull Creek Limestone at two localities

• Determine lithofacies and correlate the sections

II. WHEN:

• February 11 OR 12 (Dr. Kerans);
  February 18 (Dr. Horton)

We depart from the east basement entrance at 7:30 AM.  Trips will return to campus by about 6 PM.

III. BRING:

• Clipboard & field book
• Compass, ruler, protractor
• Mechanical & colored pencils
• Hand lens, hammer, acid bottle
• Water, lunch, raincoat

IV. BACKGROUND MATERIAL
