I. OBJECTIVES:
- Measure and describe a section of terrigenous clastics.
- Draw an outcrop sketch to document stratigraphic relationships.
- Identify river pebbles for provenance determination.
- Identify sedimentary structures in several outcrops.
II. WHEN:
We will leave the field at 4 PM and be back in Austin by about 5:30.
III. BRING:
- Clipboard, 8.5 x 11" paper, field book, &
appropriate pages of the lab manual.
- Brunton compass, rulers, field book, tracing paper
- Mechanical & colored pencils, clipboard
- Hand lens, hammer, acid bottle
